Summary

The Nativity Usborne Little Board Books is a lovely tale of the birth of Jesus Christ. This children’s board book follows a step-by-step process of Jesus’s birth as it’s depicted in the Bible, and the vibrant illustrations help to bring the tale to life.

The first chapter tells the story of Mary’s annunciation. In this chapter, the angel Gabriel visits Mary to let her know that she has been chosen to be the mother of Jesus, the Son of God. As he speaks to her, Mary is filled with wonder and love, and her response is one of faith and obedience. The illustration in this chapter shows Mary, with a very peaceful look on her face, kneeling before the angel Gabriel.

The second chapter chronicles Joseph’s dream. The angel Gabriel appears to Joseph in a dream and informs him that Mary has conceived a divine child. Joseph is then instructed to wed Mary, and the illustration in this chapter shows Joseph looking up when he receives the message in his dream.

The third chapter follows Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem. Mary is travelling on a donkey, and Joseph is walking beside her. As they arrive in Bethlehem, Mary gives birth to Jesus. The illustration in this chapter shows Mary, lovingly cradling her infant son in her arms and looking up to the night sky.

The fourth chapter tells the story of the shepherds who were guided to the manger by a bright star. When they arrive, they find Mary and Joseph, and baby Jesus lying in a manger. The illustration in this chapter shows the shepherds looking on in awe as they witness the birth of Jesus.

The fifth chapter tells of the visit from the Magi, who brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh to honor Jesus. As the Magi lay their gifts at the manger, they kneel before the infant in homage and blessing. The illustration in this chapter shows the three kings kneeling around the manger as they bring their gifts.

The Nativity Usborne Little Board Books brings the Christmas story to life through simple language and vibrant illustrations. The story of Jesus’s birth is retold in a way that children can connect with and understand. The bright colours and the cute characters in the pictures make this book a delight to read and look at.
