Summary

Is It Bedtime Wibbly Pig is a book about a small pig named Wibbly Pig who loves to be up and about. The book follows Wibbly as he tries to find ways to stay up and sleep later, despite being told that it's time to go to bed.

Chapter 1: This chapter introduces the reader to Wibbly, who is determined to stay up later. He begins exploring the world around him and discovers a clock. He concludes that the only way he can stay up is to make the clock stop ticking.

Chapter 2: Wibbly tries to use a hammer to stop the ticking of the clock, but it fails. When he notices the ticking comes from the pendulum, he successfully wedges his toy pig between the pendulum and the clock mechanism, stopping the clock from ticking.

Chapter 3: Wibbly's plan works, and he is able to stay up later without his parents noticing. He frolics in the garden, having fun without having to worry about going to bed. Unfortunately, the clock starts ticking again at daybreak.

Chapter 4: Wibbly's friend Big Pig suggests a plan to Wibbly: a bed inside the clock, so that he can stay up all night and nobody needs to know. They build the bed and Wibbly moves in.

Chapter 5: With the help of Big Pig, Wibbly goes on an adventure while inside the clock. He sees mysterious lands and encounters a variety of creatures.

Chapter 6: When daybreak comes, however, Wibbly and Big Pig have to hurry out of the clock and back into the real world, where Wibbly admits that it is time to go to bed.

Chapter 7: After some thought, Wibbly decides that staying up is not always the best plan; sometimes it is necessary to get a good night's sleep. He takes a nap and wakes up feeling refreshed.

The book ends happily with Wibbly acknowledging the importance of getting enough sleep. He makes a promise to himself that he will make sure to go to bed on time, even when he has exciting plans for the following day.
