Summary

Chapter 1: The Zookeeper's Rounds

The zookeeper embarks on his evening rounds, gently whispering "good night" to the animals. He bids farewell to the elephants, lions, giraffes, and monkeys.

Example: "Good night, elephants. Sleep well, lions. Rest easy, giraffes. Dream sweet dreams, monkeys."

Chapter 2: The Gorilla Gets Curious

As the zookeeper approaches the gorilla cage, the curious gorilla, with its clever eyes, watches his every move. Unnoticed by the zookeeper, the gorilla begins to follow him.

Example: The gorilla follows the zookeeper's flashlight beam, stealthily moving through the shadows.

Chapter 3: The Animals Escape

One by one, the animals notice the gorilla's absence and decide to escape. The lions, elephants, giraffes, and monkeys slip out of their cages and join the gorilla.

Example: The elephants use their trunks to unlatch the barn door, while the giraffes stretch their necks over the high fences.

Chapter 4: The Zookeeper Sleeps

Oblivious to the commotion, the zookeeper yawns and finally settles down on a bench to rest. He falls fast asleep, snoring softly.

Example: The zookeeper's snores echo through the empty zoo, drowning out the soft footsteps of the escaping animals.

Chapter 5: The Animals Return

After exploring the zoo, the animals realize they are missing their beds. They tiptoe back to their cages, one by one, taking care not to wake the sleeping zookeeper.

Example: The gorilla climbs back into its cage and settles down, pretending to be asleep.

Chapter 6: The Zookeeper's Morning Surprise

In the morning, the zookeeper awakens to find the animals missing. He rushes to their cages and discovers them all sound asleep. Confused and amused, he wonders if it was all just a dream.

Example: The zookeeper chuckles to himself as he sees the elephants snoring with their trunks curled, the lions sprawled out on the ground, and the giraffes towering over each other in a tangled mess.
