Chapter 1 – The Present
In the first chapter of The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, readers are introduced to the main character, Brady Bunch Junior. Brady is an eccentric seven-year-old boy living in a small town with his family. Brady is described as being the life of the party with his wild imagination, contagious laughter, and never-ending energy. Brady’s uniqueness is the source of entertainment for the whole town and everyone loves him, but Brady just wants people to treat him like everyone else. One day, Brady sets off on an adventure with his family on a long road trip. Along the way, Brady spreads laughter and joy to everyone he encounters.
For example, while stopped at a gas station Brady meets a grouchy old man. Against his father’s wishes, Brady decides to cheer the man up. Brady brings the man outside to show him the wildflowers that have blossomed next to the pumps. Brady’s enthusiasm is contagious and soon the old man can’t help but smile and join Brady in admiring the flowers.
Chapter 2 – The Trip
In the second chapter of The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, Brady and his family begin to drive down the large expanse of backroads and highways through small towns and big cities. Along the way, Brady is still the source of joy in every situation.
For example, when Brady’s family has to spend an unexpected night in a hotel, the hotel clerk is uninterested in getting to know Brady and his family. When Brady begins to tell jokes and fill the room with laughter, the clerk soon begins to warm up and engage the family in conversations. By the time Brady and his family check out of the hotel the next morning, the clerk has accompany them to the lobby to say goodbye.
Chapter 3 – The North
In the third chapter of The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, Brady and his family make their way to the north of the country. As they drive through small towns, they can’t help but be noticed by everyone they meet. Everywhere Brady goes, people can’t help but be filled with joy and happiness.
For example, while Brady’s family are eating dinner in a small restaurant, the entire restaurant erupts into fits of laughter after Brady tells a joke. Everyone in the restaurant joins in and soon the entire place is filled with laughter. The restaurant’s owner even joins in and offers Brady and his family free desserts.
Chapter 4 – The South
In the fourth chapter of The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, Brady and his family make it to the south of the country. Everywhere Brady goes people can’t help but be filled with joy and happiness.
For example, when Brady and his family arrive at a small diner, Brady strikes up a conversation with the waitress. Eventually, Brady’s unique brand of humor has the entire diner in tears of laughter. The waitress is so charmed by Brady’s bubbly personality, she gives Brady and his family free desserts.
Chapter 5 – The Homecoming
In the fifth chapter of The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, Brady and his family finally arrive home. Everyone in the small town is happy to see them and are filled with joy when they learn of all the adventure and stories Brady has to share.
For example, the first person Brady runs into in town is the local grocer. After hearing stories of Brady’s trip, the grocer can’t help but let out a chuckle. By the time Brady has finished his story, everyone in the store has laughed hysterically and feels better for it. Everyone in town is filled with joy to see Brady return and are happy to offer him anything he needs.
