Summary

Chapter 1

The first chapter of One False Move focuses on the main character of the story, Brad McAfee. Brad is a comic book artist with an unwavering commitment to his art. He is an independent spirit who is unable to find a steady job in the traditional workforce and feels a little bit lost in his life. In this chapter, Brad meets a mysterious stranger at his comic book convention and soon after discovers that she is actually an assassin. Brad is thrown into a series of dangerous and exciting adventures as his new assassin “partner” tries to help him find himself.

Chapter 2

The story picks up in chapter 2 with Brad and his assassin partner as they embark on their mission to find a rare comic book that is worth millions of dollars. Brad is introduced to a variety of underworld characters as his mission begins to take on a more sinister character. The chapter ends with a shocking turn of events as the group discovers that the comic book contains a clue to a worldwide terrorist plot.

Chapter 3

Things take a much darker turn in chapter 3 as Brad and the group unravel the mystery of the terrorist plot. Brad's initial lack of experience in the secret agent world soon turns into a determination to help thwart the organization's plans. In the course of his actions, Brad discovers that he has a lot of inner strength that he never knew he possessed. He also encounters a few close calls as the group is pursued by the terrorist organization's henchmen.

Chapter 4

In chapter 4, Brad and the team face their biggest challenge yet as the terrorists plan to launch a massive operation that could lead to widespread destruction. Brad takes a major risk, but his courage earns him the trust of his teammate and they join forces to foil the terrorists' plans. In the end, Brad's actions are instrumental in averting a disaster and finally achieving his goal of saving the world.

Chapter 5

The fifth chapter of the book focuses on Brad's story after the mission is completed. He discovers that he has gained newfound respect from his friends and family, as well as an unexpected fortune from his comics. With his mission accomplished and the world safe, Brad is finally able to return to his old life of comic book art, but with an enhanced appreciation for his own courage and spirit.
