Summary

Chapter 1

* Three witches prophesize that Macbeth will become Thane of Cawdor and Scotland.
* Macbeth's ambition is inflamed, and he plans to murder King Duncan.

Chapter 2

* Macbeth murders Duncan and becomes king.
