Dan Davies spent more than a decade on a quest to find the real Jimmy Savile, and interviewed him extensively over a period of six years before his death. Dan also interviewed scores of people, many of them unobtainable while Savile was alive.

Jimmy Savile was cynical, calculating and predatory. He revelled in his status as a Pied Piper of youth and used his power to abuse the vulnerable and underage, all the while covering his tracks by moving into the innermost circles of the establishment.

IN PLAIN SIGHT is a devastating and definitive account of a national figure turned national disgrace.

Summary

Chapter 1

In Plain Sight, written by Loreth Anne White, is a romantic thriller novel that follows the story of Magda Brown, a nurse living in the small, wild town of Last Chance, Montana. In the first chapter, Magda's life is thrown into chaos when a relentless FBI agent shows up on her doorstep. Agent Brayden Burke informs Magda that her husband, Ted, is a wanted fugitive and is allegedly connected to a series of brutal murders. Despite feeling betrayed, Magda reluctantly agrees to secretly go undercover for the FBI to help bring Ted to justice.

Chapter 2

In chapter two, Magda's mission as an undercover agent becomes more complicated as she discovers there may be more secrets Ted has been hiding. While questioning a former colleague of Ted's, Magda learns her husband may have been part of a criminal organization. When Brayden reveals this information to Magda, she feels overwhelmed by the complexity of the situation and the danger involved. Ultimately, Magda forces herself to stay focused on her mission and pushes through her fears.

Chapter 3

In chapter three, the stakes get even higher as Magda finds out Ted is connected to a powerful drug cartel. While scouting a remote area in Montana where Ted is believed to be hiding out, they stumble upon a makeshift laboratory where Ted has been attempting to create a new type of drug. As they explore further, Magda and Brayden are captured by Ted's men, whose presence in Last Chance suggests Ted may be planning a sinister plan for the town.

Chapter 4

In chapter four, Magda and Brayden are interrogated by the cartel as they try to stumble upon Ted's plan. Magda discovers that the cartel has been working closely with Ted, who has placed explosives around the town of Last Chance in order to threaten and intimidate its citizens. This revelation leads Brayden to the realization that Magda’s family may be in danger due to their proximity to the explosives.

Chapter 5

In chapter five, Magda and Brayden devise a plan to save Last Chance from Ted’s plot. Magda decides to confront Ted directly while Brayden works on finding and disarming the explosives. In the tense moments leading up to Magda’s confrontation with Ted, Magda musters the courage to do whatever it takes to protect her town and its people.

Chapter 6

In the thrilling conclusion of In Plain Sight, Magda and Brayden come face-to-face with Ted. Before the situation can come to a head, the FBI enforces a safe evacuation of Last Chance. In a climatic showdown between Magda and Brayden versus Ted and the cartel, a shootout ensues and the town is ultimately saved. In the aftermath of the battle, it is revealed that Ted was planning to build an undercover drug empire in Last Chance. With Ted captured and the explosives disarmed, Magda and Brayden can confidently walk away knowing they did everything they could to protect the town.
